If you’re here, chances are you’ve felt at least one of these:

  • You sit down with a standardized test and realize your student can’t even take it — leaving you with nothing to report.

  • You push through the test, but the scores come back low across the board, giving you no clue where to start.

  • You’re frustrated writing goals based on “neurotypical” skills that don’t fit your autistic students.

  • You feel stuck, overwhelmed, and sometimes even doubt your own skills as a professional.

You’re not alone. And you’re not doing anything wrong.

The truth is: standardized tests weren’t designed with autistic individuals in mind. That’s why they so often leave us with empty reports, meaningless goals, and families who walk away with more confusion than clarity.

That’s exactly why we created Neuro-Strengths-Based (TM) Assessments — so you can finally have tools that show you what your autistic students can do, want to learn, and need to thrive.

start

We know assessment can feel overwhelming — but it doesn’t have to.
With our Neuro-Strengths-Based Assessments, the process is simple:

1. Use the Assessments

2. Understand the individual at a deeper level.

3. Write affirming,  meaningful goals & reports.

Practical tools designed to highlight strengths, uncover potential, and identify needs that standardized tests miss.

See beyond scores and behaviors to observe what your autistic students can do, want to learn, and need to thrive.

Walk away with goals that feel good, make sense, and create buy-in from students, families, and colleagues.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING

"I've seen my students be more aware of their own strengths and needs, as well as ways to meet their needs. In myself, I think I've written better goals."

–ALEXANDRA K., SLP

The Neuro-Strengths-Based Assessments are a perfect fit if you’re…

  • A therapist who feels frustrated when standardized tests don’t show what your autistic students can actually do or want to learn.

  • A teacher who wants to understand your students more deeply so you can support them in the classroom, not just manage behaviors.

  • A psychologist who’s tired of reports that feel empty and is ready for a strengths-based way to communicate results to families and teams.

It’s not for you if…

  • You’re only looking for a quick compliance fix.

  • You want students to “fit the test” instead of reshaping how assessments fit the student.

If you’re here, you already care about doing things differently.
You’re ready to shift from deficit-driven reports to assessments that actually reflect the whole person — and we’ll show you exactly how.

Imagine This…

  • You no longer dread writing reports because you finally have clear language to describe what your students can do and want to learn.

  • Families leave meetings feeling hopeful and understood — not defeated by low scores.

  • You walk into sessions confident, knowing your students are engaged and motivated to work with you.

  • Your goals feel meaningful, affirming, and supported by both families and team members.

  • Other professionals start looking to you as the one who “gets it” — because your reports capture the whole picture.

  • You feel connected, confident, and energized instead of stuck, overwhelmed, or doubting your skills.

Who are the creators of this course...

D62_4753.jpg

Sue is a late-diagnosed autistic. She had to teach herself the skills you are teaching your clients and students. Susan is able to explain what comes naturally to you in a way your clients and students will understand.

"The philosophy for the Neuro-Strengths Based Support for Autism Framework comes from personal experience as an autistic individual and professional experience as an occupational therapist who worked with autistic clients. I grew up trying to 'be like everyone else;' I succeeded in masking but at the cost of never developing a sense of 'self' which led to symptoms of post traumatic stress. When I was finally diagnosed in my early 50’s, I learned that there were other options of how to think and behave, which radically changed my life for the better."

FAQs for the Neuro-Strengths-Based Assessments Course

1. What makes this course different from other assessment trainings?
Most trainings focus on standardized testing or deficit-based checklists. This course shows you how to use our Neuro-Strengths-Based framework to highlight strengths, potential strengths, barriers, and triggers—creating reports that are both neuro-affirming and functional for schools, insurance, and families.

2. I already try to be neuro-affirming. Do I really need another course?
Yes! Even if you’re already affirming in your approach, this course gives you structured tools and language to document what you see. Many professionals realize they’ve been missing the “potential strengths” or unintentionally using deficit-heavy language without meaning to.

3. Who is this course for?
This course is designed for therapists, teachers, psychologists, and other professionals who assess autistic students or clients. Whether you’re new to neuro-affirming work or already experienced, the tools will help you create clearer, more humanizing assessments.

4. Will this replace standardized testing?
Not necessarily. Standardized tests still have their place, especially for eligibility, depending on your work requirements. Our framework helps you interpret those results through a neuro-affirming lens and add meaningful observational data so you’re capturing the full picture.

5. What tools are included in the course?
You’ll receive two proprietary assessments:

  • Strengths, Stressors & Supports Profile

  • Soft Skills Observation Tool

  • "Using what you have learned" guides

  • Templates for neuro-affirming reports/language
Both assessments are designed to be practical, flexible, and easy to integrate with your current assessment process.

6. How long does it take to complete the course?
The course is self-paced with four core modules. Most learners complete it in 2–3 hours, but you can move at the pace that works for you.

7. Do I get continuing education credit or a certificate?
Yes, you’ll receive a certificate of completion to use for Professional Development Hours (PDH).

8. What if I work in a school setting with limited time?
The tools are designed to be flexible—you can use them in full evaluations or in shorter observation settings. Many professionals use them during therapy sessions, classroom visits, or even in quick screenings.

9. Will this course help with writing IEP goals or insurance reports?
Absolutely. The framework makes it easier to create goals that are functional, affirming, and tied to what the student actually wants and needs—rather than what they “failed” on a test.

10. What if I still have questions after completing the course?
We provide opportunities to connect with our community for support, and you’ll be able to revisit the course materials whenever you need a refresher.  We will also be providing an 8 week coaching opportunity after enrollment ends.
